This is a modern interpretation of a traditional Buddhist Temple in a Suburban street in South West London for the Kadampa Buddhist Tradition. The Temple and adjoining accommodation is a remodelling of the current Buddhist Centre housed in what was a sports hall which nestles up to a community centre housed in a monolithic 1950s block. The design was submitted for a planning application and was well received by the local council. We are hopeful the plans will be resurrected sometime soon and the temple and garden will be realised to provide a graceful new addition to the local neighbourhood.
